On November 10, the XVIII International Conference for Users of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing was held at the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel. The company SOCAR Georgia Gas presented the following topic - "Development and implementation of geoinformation systems in gas distribution companies."

   The goals of the GIS system, important components and detailed visual material were highlighted in the presentation. The presentation touched upon such important aspects as the creation of the latest digital database of operating assets; introducing the GIS system as a management tool for day-to-day operations and providing volume analysis and reporting.

   The conference is held annually and is attended by leading specialists in geoinformation systems from around the world.
