On September 26, Mr. Rovnag Abdullayev, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) visited Georgia and arrived in the village of Nigoza together with Mr. Jaba Khmaladze, General Director of the Georgian Gas Transportation Company and Mr. Giorgi Bakhtadze, General Director of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, where the gasification works have recently been completed.

Upon completion of the project, 90 families living in the village of Nigoza were given the opportunity to consume natural gas. Nigoza gas distribution network, which is 3049 meters long, was built by the Georgian Gas Transportation Company.

After the torch lighting ceremony, the guests symbolically lit gas in the family of Maguli Gamkhitashvili, a resident of the village of Nigoza.

Mr. Rovnag Abdullayev, President of the State Oil Company of Georgia and Azerbaijan, also attended the gasification ceremony in the village of Khanjigazlo, Marneuli municipality.

The construction of the gas distribution network in the village of Khanjigazlo was carried out by the company "SOCAR Georgia Gas", a 7400-meter-long gas pipeline was built. As a result of gasification works, 127 families living in the village of Khanjigazlo now have the possibility to consume natural gas.

After the ceremony of torch lighting, the guests symbolically lit the gas in the family of Gulkhanum Jamalova, a resident of the village of Khanjigazlo.

In total, since 2009, SOCAR Georgia Gas has built 11,543 km of gas distribution network throughout Georgia, providing 305,389 potential subscribers with the gasification opportunity.
