For the combustion of natural gas, oxygen is required. The main products of the combustion of natural gas are carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapor (H2O).  Gas flames are normally blue. Red flames are the result of insufficient oxygen and the sign of incomplete combustion. During the incomplete combustion toxic carbon monoxide (CO) is produced.

Gas appliances shall not be installed independently! Installation works shall be performed in accordance with the project prepared by qualified personnel, and the local service center of SOCAR Georgia Gas must be notified in advance.

Gas appliances (central-heating boiler, water heater, heater etc.) should have a closed combustion chamber, while they receive air directly from the outside of the building and exhaust carbon monoxide outside the building. Open combustion chamber appliances (like water heater, heater etc.) shall not be installed in apartments where the construction project does not provide smoke channels, while installing open combustion chamber appliances, the exhaust ducts shall be installed in accordance with the current safety standards. Red flames are the result of insufficient oxygen and the sign of incomplete combustion, resulting in release of toxic carbon monoxide (CO) caused by a malfunction of gas appliances. Thus a specialist should inspect and check your gas appliances. When installing gas appliance its technical, passport, specification should be considered.
